How It Works
How Virtual Guard Station’s Intrusion Detection and Crime Prevention System Works
Once we’ve installed the Virtual Guard Station on your jobsite, we can begin stopping theft before it starts. Our dedicated security professionals watch a 30″ LCD screen with only 9 camera frames - far fewer than the industry average of 25. We combine live surveillance experts and software-enhanced motion detection with supervisor assistance every time suspicious motion is detected. This ensures that our surveillance professionals have the resources they need to stop crime on your property.
Software-Enhanced Intrusion Detection
We’ve developed software that enhances our live monitors’ vigilance with a burst of bright green around any detected motion. This fluorescent green glow leaps off of the screen - and our software simultaneously alerts the security professional’s supervisor for an added layer of security.
A Supervisor Assists Every Time Our System Detects Motion
When the motion detector alerts our trained monitoring professional, an experienced supervisor assesses the activity to help determine whether a real threat exists. The supervisor makes the final decision whether or not to begin the deterrent cycle and alert police.
When We Detect a Threat…
Once we determine your jobsite has an intrusion, our team triggers a pre-recorded warning shout that plays through your Virtual Guard Station. Soon after the verbal warnings, police-style lights flash and an alarm sounds, warning the intruder that he must leave the area immediately. If the intruder stays, we contact the authorities and your designated security manager – all within 8 seconds of detection.
You Have Video Documentation - But You Won’t Need It
Our system records every second of what’s happening on your job site in the standard format that’s universally accepted in courts of law. You’re not likely going to need it though - our system’s focus is incident prevention, not incident recording.
